In-House Services
Pioneer Village offers a variety of In-House Services. Below is a summary of these services.
Physiotherapist
A physiotherapist visits every Thursday. Residents are able to book an appointment by advising staff or Reception. There is no charge for this service.
Speech Pathologist
A speech pathologist visits on request to see residents requiring assessment.
Podiatrist
A podiatrist is available each month at a current cost of $30.00. Residents can make an appointment for this service by advising staff or Reception.
Finger & Toe Nail Care
Residents may have their finger and toe nails cut by staff each month if required.
Laundry
Personal laundry is collected by staff daily. A washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities are also available for those residents who wish to do any personal laundry themselves.
Personal Call Bell
All residents are given a personal call bell (beeper) which is used to summon staff when necessary and particularly in an emergency such as a fall. Staff are available all hours.
Hairdresser
We have our own hairdressing salon and a hairdresser who visits each Thursday and Friday. Appointments can be made for a cut, set, colour or perm by advising staff or Reception.
Paper Deliveries
Newspapers and magazines can be delivered to residents daily at 9:00am.
Library
There is a small library for residents' use in Flinders Wing.
